Producer's Note:

Sound Toy allows users to create abstract animations and sound patterns by moving the mouse around the screen. Colorful lines and sounds are created with a combination of timeline animation and ActionScript. Sound Toy was written with Flash 5 and most of the code is placed in frames on the main timeline or within one of the three 'master' movie clips. This is a straightforward technique, and a good way to get oriented in Flash. It is different from Object Oriented Programming (OOP), where code is organized into Classes. Classes make code easier to reuse and understand, but learning to use them can be challenging. You will learn about OOP in other projects.
