Game Idea
My game idea is somewhat of a spinoff of the classic game Pipe Dream. Users will see a diagram of a token ring topology with packets traveling around the ring. Each packet will have a number cooresponding to a particular computer. Users must switch computers on to the token ring to accept their particular packets. To complete the exchange, users must answer questions based on networking technologies. Every correct answer will cause that computer and packet to be taken offline. The goal of the game is to have all computer be taken off of the ring, completing that level. Subsequent levels will have packets traveling faster on the rings and hard questions. This would be a good study guide method delivered in a fun environment.

My Year 2 year in review
My biggest issues this last year were with student apathy and retention. My students, who had to pay to take my courses, did attend or didn't care to fail the class. I also had issues with students being able to apply and critically think about the topics we were covering.
To help mitigate these issues, I implemented a mandatory attendance policy. I also broke the class grading down into project deliverables. Procrastination was a big issue last year, so requiring the students to submit smaller chucks of work more often led to less procrastination. I am still working on the disconnect between tutorial/lecture to application of topics.
My greatest joys comes from the amazing talent I have had in my classes. There have been several great game ideas: from games on recyclingsnord, to games on how to break horsessharm, to games on archeologypeaches.
Other students have been fantastic artists.mysticx007IA37
