Please discuss your personal teaching philosophy: My philosophy when dealing with college students is that they have control over what and how much learn. Especially when dealing with Freshmen. Most of them already have decided what classes they want to take seriously and what ones they don't, so with that in mind, I place learning objectives in front of them and if they give there best and try hard then they will be rewarded. If they don't take it seriously they're paying for it with their grades and with their wallets. I do want every student of mine to take things seriously and to hopefully get something from what I teach though. You just have to treat them like adults, and some of them are.
