Hi everyone! Welcome to my new wiki page.

  • Meaning of your name: My net handle has always been Banditt. It comes from my hot rod hobby.
  • School you represent: Southern WV Community & Technical College
  • Role in Globaloria program at your school: I will be teaching and heading up the program.
  • Favorite food(s): Chips and Salsa, Chinese Food.
  • Favorite music: Pretty much anything but twangy country or hard rap.
  • Place in the world you'd most like to visit: Anywhere in the western US would be pretty neat.
  • Hobbies and things you like to do outside of school: I'm a self taught grease monkey and work on my 1971 Chevy Nova.
  • Educational or Social issue(s) you are passionate about:
  • Favorite technology 'gadget' and why: Soon to be my new HTC Fuze cell phone that I just bought.
  • Describe when you started using computers: I started on a Tandy 1000ex and a Commodore 64 back in the early 80's
  • Describe what you like to do on the internet: I usually can be found on several forums or car related websites.
  • In what ways have you used computers in your teaching, previously? You name it I've probably done it or tried it. I use them in every way I possibly can.
  • Why did you join the Globaloria program? Because I thought it would be a great way to get the students to interact inside and outside of class.
  • What do you hope to achieve in Globaloria this year, personally? Personally I want to learn flash and further my mad programin' skilz!
  • What do you hope for your students to achieve in Globaloria this year?‎ I want them to interact with each other more than they have done in the past. I am hoping that they will feel this is a worthwhile program and that they give their all in designing their games.

Please discuss your personal teaching philosophy: First of all I remember all of the horrible teachers and professors I had in school and I avoid doing anything like they did. I then make sure I keep current on the latest technology and include that in my curriculum. Lastly students will not respond to you unless the assignments given are both entertaining and challenging. You must keep them interested, I do so by using a lot of humor in my classes.
