Your safety and enjoyment of this online learning community is paramount to us. Please read our Foundation's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use to make sure you understand your rights and responsibilities as a member of the Globaloria Networks community.

Customize Participation Guidelines for Your Community

You know the basic safety policies of the Globaloria Networks now. But you can customize a set of policies for your own community too. Review this grid and make changes and additions as you feel best fits your group.

We, the members of the COMMUNITY NAME community, have decided on some basic guidelines for using this wiki and social network. If you want to hang out here and make games with us, you must follow these guidelines. Peace!

Topic Decisions Notes
Personal Information Don't post last name, IM name, phone number or email address or real address on the wiki Be smart, don't give up your personal info!
Constructive Feedback Use the Discussion Tab, be constructive, be honest, don't be rude Don't just criticize a project -- say what you like about it and offer suggestions on how to make it better.
Social and Educational Games All games should be focused on educational and social issues Inspire someone to learn with your cool game
Etiquette Play nice, don't mess with other people's stuff
Use of Photos Photos and images are good, just don't post anything nasty or too revealing Give proper credit info if someone else owns the image
Sharing Code Highly encouraged -- this is an open source community and we share to learn. It's fine to make modified versions of other people's projects, as long as you give them credit. One place to give credit is in your Project Notes.
High Level of Participation 5-6 hours per week is expected Ask any athlete or artist -- If you want to get good at something you have to put in the time and practice!
Safety Alert your community leaders if you feel that a project or any communication on the wiki is dangerous or inappropriate Tell your instructor and/or send email to info at MyGLife.org
