Welcome to the Globaloria Sandy River Middle School Wiki
Sandy River Middle School is proud to immerse students in Globaloria: a college-prep and career-prep course in which students learn to create inspiring and educational web-games using a social network for learning.

This wiki is YOUR space for learning and working together "virtually" as you design, develop, present and publish your games.

Adding Flash Files to Your Blog
1. Find your .swf file on the file list.
2. Click on the file name- the link will take you to the page that will play your file. Copy the URL of the file.
3. Go to your blog. Click on EDIT IN HTML and paste the link in between these two tags:

4. Click Preview and see if the code worked!

Guidelines for Comments on Your Peers' Blogs
1. Say something positive about your peer's blog- what they have done well that helped you find out more about the topic and learn.
2. Make suggestions for improvement. Have your peers written rich posts? What websites, pictures, or videos could they use to improve their blog? We are in a sharing community, so don't hesitate to offer your peers tons of feedback!

REQUIREMENTS FOR UPLOADED FILES
When uploading a file to a wiki, make sure you have used your username followed by the school's wiki initials and assignment name. This way, you will not lose your files due to somebody else naming them the same way.
username_schoolwikiinitials_assignmentname.fla (e.g. sports girl24_srms_scrollingbackground.fla)
Also, after adding the files to your project pages, fill in the Description field on the Upload page every time you upload a new file. The description should just be a few words long. Describe any key changes you made (i.e. Added sounds to game.) If its a photo or image,you can describe it (i.e. Hero character for game.)
Please, make sure you separate the units you are working on into headings, so that I know when your special effects files end and scrolling background files start!
